How to read this book:
Do not rush through this book give one or two hours to read Index and underline the topics which you already know or feel familiar with them (*Why underline..?? I will tell you in next paragraph) and select the Part or even Chapter to read first.
Here I am putting my own experience as example- So when I bought this book and coming back to my place then in the taxi I was just checking the content and I found, there was a lot of things (or should I say Chapters instead of things to be professional….HAHA) which I already knew and decided that I would read Historical Aspect with History and Preamble of Indian Constitution would be the part to read very first and eventually when arrived on the topics which I already knew, I did not pay any special attention just because which I already knew.
And the most intrusting part of my AATMAKATHA is when I appeared in Prelims 2015, I made a lot of mistakes in the concepts which I already knew.
My only suggestation is “Do not think I already knew this because if you do not have any academic background in Indian polity or Indian Constitution you do not know anything and if this thought arise in your mind that I already knew this, read that known topic very carefully ”

As I have already discussed the importance of Indian polity & Indian Constitution in various competitive examinations conduct by Union Public Service Commission in my last article when I was talking about the book Indian Polity by M. Laxmikant proudly published by McGraw Hill Publication and for the same purpose now I will discuss about another book named Introduction to The constitution of India by Aacharya Durga Das Basu.
So, Introduction to The Constitution of India By Aacharya Durga Das Basu is a multi directional book and the latest version is highly updated till 100th Constitutional Amendments Act, 2015 which is very very useful for those who are appearing in Civil Service Examination because in this exam aspirant need to know the most updated information and trust me this book can be read once in maximum 15 days if one is reading 8 to 10 hours every day. Here I have to mention, this book is very easy to understand, any general reader can understand the things very easily because at the time of reading this book reader realize that he or she is not just reading this book but talking to Aacharya Durga Das Basu which can make anyone to love this book.
And best thing you need to know is if you read this book you will never ask for any other book (*If you have not chosen Political science or Public Administration as optional) because in nine parts there are various chapters covering approx 100% syllabus of Prelims exam as well as mains exam.
Wishing you All the Best and hope you will overcome all the hurdels.
